Mgcamabele ECD Practitioners complete Little Stars training

ECD practitioners at Mgcamabele Community Centre recently completed Wordworks’ Little Stars training, offered in partnership with the Ubunye Foundation and supported by the Get It Done Foundation. This initiative equips educators with practical tools and high-quality early literacy resources, enabling them to nurture young minds with engaging, play-based learning.

The Little Stars programme uses songs, storytelling, and interactive activities in children’s home language to spark a love of learning and build strong foundations for school readiness. By investing in practitioners and supporting communities, Wordworks helps ensure that every child-regardless of their circumstances, has access to quality early literacy experiences.

Through these efforts, educators are empowered, home-school connections are strengthened, and children gain the tools and confidence they need to thrive in their early years.
