Partnering for impact: Advancing early literacy in Worcester

To kick off the academic year, our Early Literacy Specialists travelled to Worcester for a three-day Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop focused on our Every Word Counts and Little Stars early literacy programs. The workshop aimed to deepen understanding and implementation of these programs, which support language development in early childhood and build foundational literacy skills through interactive, practical sessions.

With support from The Do More Foundation, Wordworks facilitated the training with 10 ECD centre principals from Worcester. The principals will, in turn, train new ECD practitioners in their schools while providing ongoing support to those who have already completed our programmes.

It is encouraging to see how this collaboration has strengthened throughout the years, and we look forward to seeing this cohort of trainers’ progress towards implementation. With ongoing mentorship and support from our Early Literacy Specialists, we are positive about the outcomes of this training.

Wordworks and Do More Foundation have joined forces to enhance the practical implementation of quality early learning programmes in Worcester. Together, they are delivering an ECD training programme focused on early literacy and numeracy development. The programme’s aims to equip ECD practitioners to effectively implement Wordworks’ Every Word Counts and Little Stars programmes in ECD centres. Both parties have committed to transparent collaboration and ensuring that the project deliverables meet high standards.”
