Stellar in the Eastern Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal

Project model:
Wordworks will train 13 Gr R teachers in schools that are already part of the Sanlam Education Programme in two districts in the Eastern Cape and KZN. Through direct training, resourcing and classroom support, teachers will be equipped to implement the Stellar Home Language classroom programme in the languages of the specific regions.

Sustaining the intervention:
Department of Education officials and Foundation Phase Department Heads are capacitated to support classroom implementation. In addition, after the project period, Subject Advisors,Department Heads and Grade R teachers will become members of Wordworks online programme network, granting them access to resources, courses and programme support systems.
