Wordworks Director calls for men to support early literacy efforts

Mammuso Makhanya, Executive Director at Wordworks, has called for greater involvement of male caregivers and parents in building early literacy and language skills at home.

She shared this message during the 2022 International Literacy Day conversation, which brought together the CEOs of five South African literacy organisations.

The event was hosted by Funda Wande, in collaboration with Nal’ibali, The Bookery, The Learning Trust, and Wordworks.
